Wenig Stoff, aber viel zu sehen gibt es bei Underprotection. Durchsichtige Stoffe, Samt-BHs und seidig-blumige Morgenmäntel sind ziemlich hot. Das Motto von der Brand ist nämlich "almost as sustainable as being naked". Das Ziel der Brand ist es zu zeigen, dass es nicht mehr oder weniger fashionable ist, nachhaltig zu produzieren, sondern "the right thing to do". Dabei setzt das 2010 gegründete Label, auf eine Vielzahl von Maßnahmen und Siegeln. Unter anderem ist Underprotection Mitglied der Fairwear Foundation und setzt auf Zertifikate des Global Recycling Standards, Öko-Tex und dem GOTS Siegel. So wird sichergestellt, dass die eingesetzten Materialien wie Bio-Baumwolle, Lyocell oder recycelte Wolle nachhaltig produziert und recycelt werden, aber vor allem unter sozialen Bedingungen weiterverarbeitet. Alle Produkte werden in einer Fabrik in Dehli, von der Fabrik Fashion Forte produziert. Dies ist zwar riskant für das Unternehmen selbst, falls es zu Problemen kommt nicht auf andere Zulieferer ausweichen zu können, gewährleistet aber eine gute Kontrolle über die sozialen Bedingungen und gleichzeitig langfristige Beziehungen, auf die sich auch der Partner in Indien verlassen kann.
