Ten Points

Ten Points ist wie so viele skandinavische Brands durch seine Zeitlosigkeit geprägt. Die Schuhe sind allesamt unabhängig von Trends und ohne Umwege gedacht. Das macht sie einerseits praktisch und andererseits stellt ihre Funktionalität die Schönheit des Entwurfs in den Vordergrund. Zeitlosigkeit bedeutet aber auch, dass die Qualität dem Schuh erlauben muss, die Zeit zu überdauern. Dafür hat sich Ten Points seit seiner Gründung 1983 dazu entschieden in Portugal produzieren zu lassen. In der Nähe von Porto gibt es seit Jahrhunderten Schuhmacher mit viel Tradition, handwerklichem Geschick und vor allem Wissen sowie Erfahrung. Beim Leder setzt Ten Points ausschließlich auf europäische Gerber, allerdings nicht nur auf pflanzlich gegerbtes Leder. Da die Chromgerbung nicht unumstritten ist und einige Menschen allergisch darauf reagieren können, achtet ggf. auf die Materialzusammensetzung. Dort könnt ihr pflanzlich gegerbte Leder direkt erkennen, wenn ihr kein Chromleder tragen möchtet. Damit Chromleder niemals direkt in den Hautkontakt kommt, verzichtet Ten Points beim Futter komplett auf Chromleder und setzt stattdessen auf mulesingsfreie Wolle oder pflanzlich gegerbtes Schweinsleder.

Ten Points, like so many Scandinavian brands, is characterized by its timelessness. The shoes are all thought independently of trends and without detours. This makes them practical on the one hand and on the other hand their functionality puts the beauty of the design in the foreground. However, timelessness also means that the quality must allow the shoe to stand the test of time. For this reason, Ten Points has chosen to produce in Portugal since its founding in 1983. Near Porto there have been shoemakers for centuries with a lot of tradition, craftsmanship and above all knowledge and experience. For leather, Ten Points relies exclusively on European tanners, but not only on vegetable tanned leather. Since chrome tanning is not without controversy and some people may be allergic to it, pay attention to the material composition if necessary. There you can directly recognize vegetable tanned leather, if you do not want to wear chrome leather. To ensure that chrome leather never comes into direct contact with the skin, Ten Points completely forgoes chrome leather for the lining and instead relies on mulesing-free wool or vegetable-tanned pigskin.
