SKFK ist nicht von "Geburt" an nachhaltig. Umso schöner ist es, dass das Label sich verändert hat. Der Beitritt zum Chetna Projekt und die dadurch entstehende Verpflichtung die GOTS-zertifizierte Baumwolle zu kaufen, Bauern zu schulen und gute Abnahmepreise zu zahlen sind wichtige Schritte für das Label - auf dem Weg zu einem rundum nachhaltigen Label. Weiterhin setzt das Label auf recyeltes Polyester, Lyocell und Leinen als Rohstoffe für ihre Kollektionen. Der urbane Style von Skunkfunk lässt sich auf die Wurzeln des Unternehmens zurückführen. Wie so viele Labels begann es mit bedruckten T-Shirts, in diesem Fall auf Festivals. Das sich daraus erst eine weltweite Brand und nun ein nachhaltig agierendes Unternehmen formt zeigt, dass Modeunternehmen sich ändern können.

SKFK is not sustainable from "birth". So it is all the nicer that the label has changed. Joining the Chetna project and the resulting commitment to buy GOTS certified cotton, train farmers and pay good purchase prices are important steps for the label - on the way to an all-around sustainable label. Furthermore, the label relies on recycled polyester, lyocell and linen as raw materials for their collections. Skunkfunk's urban style can be traced back to the company's roots. Like so many labels, it started with printed T-shirts, in this case at festivals. The fact that it first became a global brand and now a sustainable company shows that fashion companies can change.
