The Reformation

The Reformation bringt kalifornische Leichtigkeit und nachhaltige Mode zusammen. Sommerliche Kleider, Einteiler und Swimwear in einer Mischung in klassischem Design gemischt mit 70er Jahre Festivallook machen den besonderen Stil des Labels aus. In Downtown Los Angeles und in wenigen ausgewählten, weltweit verteilten Fabriken produziert das Team rund um Yael Aflalo seit 2009 nachhaltige Mode für den amerikanischen Markt. Dabei setzt das Label eine Vielfalt als nachhaltigen Materialien und Praktiken. Viele Stücke werden aus Tencel produziert, einem Stoff der sich anschickt eine nachhaltige Alternative zu Baumwolle zu werden. Daneben gibts es auch Stoffe wie Viskose oder recycelte Rohstoffe. Ergänzt werden die Materialien noch durch sogenannte Deadstocks, also bereits produzierten, nicht genutzten Stoffen, denen so ein zweites Leben eingehaucht wird, anstatt sie zu entsorgen.
Leider gibt es das Label noch nicht in Deutschland zu kaufen. Wer auf die Teile noch nicht verzichten mag, kann diese natürlich im Onlineshop kaufen, muss aber natürlich mit ordentlichen Versandkosten rechnen. Bleibt also nur zu hoffen, dass deutsche Einkäufer dieses Label bald nach Deutschland in die Concept Stores bringen!

The Reformation brings together Californian ease and sustainable fashion. Summery dresses, one-piece suits and swimwear in a mix of classic design mixed with 70s festival looks make up the label's special style. In downtown Los Angeles and in a few selected factories spread around the world, the team around Yael Aflalo has been producing sustainable fashion for the American market since 2009. In doing so, the label employs a variety as sustainable materials and practices. Many pieces are made from Tencel, a fabric that is poised to become a sustainable alternative to cotton. There are also fabrics such as viscose or recycled raw materials. The materials are supplemented by so-called deadstocks, i.e. already produced, unused fabrics, which are given a second life instead of being disposed of. Unfortunately, the label is not yet available in Germany. Those who do not want to do without the parts yet, can of course buy them in the online store, but of course have to reckon with decent shipping costs. So we can only hope that German buyers will soon bring this label to Germany in the concept stores!
