In diesem Fall kombiniert das deutsch-chinesische Designerduo Miranda Chen und Philipp Langer Bio-Baumwolle aus dem tadschikischen Bergland mit Tiroler Wolle und einem besonders langlebigen, PFC-freien Kunststoff zu einem Funktionsstoff, dem "Tecnowalk". Der Außenstoff aus Wolle hält die Wärme und gibt den Mänteln den richtigen Look. Darunter sorgt die Membran aus Polyurethan für Wasser- und Windfestigkeit. Richtig gemütlich werden die Jacken aus Tecnowalk durch die Fütterung mit der Bergland-Bio-Baumwolle. Auch in Sachen fairer Produktion geht LangerChen voran. Sie besitzen nicht nur eine eigene Näherei in China, die GOTS zertifiziert ist, sondern produzieren vor Ort auch ihre eigenen Stoffe. So können nicht nur CO2-Emisisonen durch Transport vermieden werden, sondern auch die sozialen Bedingungen in der Supply Chain direkt überprüft werden, ohne auf Dritte vertrauen zu müssen.

In this case, the German-Chinese designer duo Miranda Chen and Philipp Langer combine organic cotton from the Tajik mountains with Tyrolean wool and a particularly durable, PFC-free synthetic material to create a functional fabric called "Tecnowalk". The outer fabric made of wool keeps the warmth in and gives the coats the right look. Underneath, the polyurethane membrane ensures water and wind resistance. The jackets made of Tecnowalk are really cosy because they are lined with Bergland organic cotton. LangerChen is also leading the way in terms of fair production. They not only have their own sewing shop in China, which is GOTS certified, but also produce their own fabrics locally. This way, not only CO2 emissions from transport can be avoided, but also the social conditions in the supply chain can be checked directly without having to rely on third parties.
