Jocy, die Gründerin und Designerin von Josea Surfwear ist passionierte Surferin. Und sie möchte, dass jedes Mädchen und jede Frau diesem oder anderem Sport ohne Einschränkung nachgehen kann, ganz egal welche Figur oder Körpergröße sie hat. Darum hat sich die Hamburgerin den Traum vom eigenen Surfwearlabel verwirklicht und produziert mit einem kleinen Team aus Näherinnen in Hamburg sporttaugliche Swimwear auf Bestellung. Richtig gehört, jedes Teil wird erst auf Kundinnenwunsch von Hand in Hamburg produziert. Das bedeutet viel Aufwand, aber auch, dass niemals Überproduktion entsteht, wenn sich Teile einer Kollektion mal nicht verkaufen sollten. Eine Besonderheit der Swimwear ist, dass viele Teile doppellagig genäht sind, sodass Badeanzüge wie Sport BHs funktionieren und in jeder Situationen guten Halt und somit ein sicheres Gefühl vermitteln.
Auch in ökologischer Hinsicht ist Josea engagiert. Wie aktuell viele andere Brands, setzt man hier auf recycelte Kunststoffe, die aus alten Fischernetzen und Plastikmüll aus dem Meer produziert werden. So wird nicht nur die Säuberung der Meere vorangetrieben, sondern das Plastikproblem auch mit einer positiven Lösung und Weiterverwertung zu einem tollen Produkt aufgewertet und wirtschaftlich interessant.

And she wants every girl and woman to be able to pursue this or any other sport without restriction, no matter what her figure or body size. That's why the Hamburg-based designer has realised her dream of owning her own surfwear label and produces sporty swimwear to order with a small team of seamstresses in Hamburg. That's right, each piece is produced by hand in Hamburg at the customer's request. This means a lot of effort, but also that there is never overproduction if parts of a collection don't sell. A special feature of the swimwear is that many pieces are sewn with double layers, so that swimming costumes function like sports bras and provide good support and thus a secure feeling in every situation.

Josea is also committed to the environment. Like many other brands, it uses recycled plastics made from old fishing nets and plastic waste from the sea. This not only promotes the cleaning of the oceans, but also upgrades the plastic problem with a positive solution and recycling into a great product that is economically interesting.
